Valentine's Day (any excuse for crafty!!)

It's a little late, but thought I'd post a few pics of projects we did for Valentine's Day this year!
Decorating cupcakes for school lunches for the week!

Eva's rainbow and colouring (printable found here)
Heart sun-catchers. There's contact on the cardboard heart to stick things to.
Heart necklaces, these were cut up milk bottles with lots of glue, glitter and sequins.
It may not look pretty, but it was YUMMY! A giant Rocky Road heart I made for Sean =)
Birdie hair clips I made for the girls (tutorial here)
And Olaf towels for them too (tutorial here)
Chloe's Valentine's lunch.
Eva making a toilet roll butterfly for Chloe.

Pink nails for V-day!
Beautiful flowers hubby got me =)
The girls decorated some heart biccies for a gift for Daddy =)

Hope your V-day was filled with love xx

Bells a Jing, Jing, Jingaling!!

I fully intended on starting some Christmas posts somewhere around the 1st December. But somehow, here we are Christmas Eve and I haven't done a single Christmas post!

So here is what we have been up to in the lead up to Christmas!
Our Hexen House party ( oh wait I did do one Chrtistmas post!!)
Our tree this year is all only homemade or decorations that come from the girls "special decorations box" which has at least one ornament added each year for them to take with them when they leave home =).
Chloe got a sewing box for her birthday this year, so she got to do some Christmas sewing.

 Christmas card making.
Toilet roll fairy house decorations (original idea here )
 Nature wreaths (original idea here)
 SANTA!!
 Wrapping paper stamping.
 (idea here)

Loved this when it came home from school!
Last day of school for the year!
 Santa sandwiches!
 School Christmas concert.
Toilet roll glitter stars (original idea here)

 Reindeer sandwiches
Hedgehog slice for Daddy's Christmas present.
Salt water taffy for the teacher's Christmas present ( can't for the life of me find the recipe! When I do, I'll update!)

Australian Christmas trees!
(original idea here)
Christmas pillow cases
Christmas light walks.
Free Christmas lego (thank you Toy'R'Us)

My silly reindeers singing on the top of their lungs...Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer of course!

Christmas mice. I used to make these when I was a kid!
Every year we go into the city for a look at the decorations!

Have a very Merry Christmas everyone and a safe and Happy New Year!!!!!

Spring Flower Craft

I've done this flower petal stain glass window craft with Chloe every Spring (and every Autumn with pressed Autumn leaves) since she was about 2.
Of course when Eva was old enough, she joined in too.

Each year, Chloe's windows get more complex. I love watching her creativity grow!
The original idea can be found here for Spring, and here for Autumn at The Artful Parent. Seriously take some time and have a look around this very clever blog! There are some AWESOME ideas for kids craft on here. One very talented woman indeed!

Do you have any seasonal traditions? I'd love to hear them!

Playtime: Moon Sand!

We had a stay at home day, Eva and I.
It called for some homemade fun! So we made some moon sand!!

You can dig in it,

Roll it with a rolling pin,
Or squish it into cupcakes!
Eva had so much fun (and I did too!) When you squash it together it holds its shape, but it also crumbles.
Plus, it's SO much cheaper to make it!
(bunny ears while playing optional ;))
