"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week for 2015"

Lyra: Santa brought her a tea set, we've been slurping tea and eating cakes ever since!

Eva: her new dress

Chloe: My Harry Potter obsessed child was thrilled!

Aaaaaand that's all folks! The year done and dusted (albeit 10 days into the new year!)
Unsure if I'll keep it up. I mean I'm already behind....

Lyra: the long days and SUPER hot, humid weather were a bit too much!

Eva: lighting incense at the Buddha's Tooth Temple in Chinatown.
 Chloe: going to fly away.

Made a link up! Hooray!! (here

Lyra; She was surprisingly happy on the plane for our trip to Singapore! The leg room that the bassinet seat gave us definitely helped that!

Eva: exploring our hotel. We found the pool as you can tell from the splashes on her dress!

Chloe: More exploring, this is at Clarke Quay, just over the road from our hotel.

Lyra: one of her favourite places is the veggie garden. She's helping me weed!

Eva: we always do the free craft sessions at the shipping centers in the holidays!

Chloe: I taught her how to knit on a loom, she's made herself one sock so far!

School Holiday Fun: Icing Biscuits

So I know this is nothing new, but hey if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

The girls picked out 2 cookie cutters from our (extensive) collection. They helped roll out the dough and cut the shapes. Bake and let them cool! (don't forget to let them cool completely!)
Then, decorating!

I made royal icing as the recipe for the biscuits used the egg yolk.
I used spoons for the icing, knives haven't worked well in the past here. You could use piping bags or zip loc bags, but we didn't have enough icing to warrant the faffing.

Yes it can get messy (why I cleaned my floors first, I have no idea). But it's easy and keeps them occupied for a decent amount of time!

What's your favourite biscuit/cookie recipe?

Lyra: I made her a little quilted jacket for those icy school runs.
Eva: Took the girls to the skatepark the other day, they had so much FUN!
Chloe: SLIME!!!

Linking up with Jodi.

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week for 2014"

Lyra: Still all smiles and squeals (most of the time)

Eva: This one can't do a normal photo, faces must be pulled and head moved about. This makes for a lot of blurry photos!
Chloe: On the train to take the ferry to the park. I love that she is still a little girl at heart, even if she is looking more and more grown up.

I made the link up! Yay! Over at Jodi's.

Easter Bunny Came to Visit!

It was Lyra's first Easter this year. She was only 2 months old, so I'm really looking forward to next year!
As always I planned to make the girls more presents than I had time to make :/ I did manage to make some bunny finger puppets and winter PJ's. It's become tradition that I make them winter PJ's for Easter and summer ones for Christmas! There was lots of (too much) chocolate and baking and food. We took some family pics at my parents and as always my sister and I had to make faces. So we all decided to get in on it!

Hope you all had an awesome choccie filled Easter =)

Totally late, but better late than never! As will be my next 52 week project as it's overdue too!

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week for 2014"

Lyra: Seriously does it get any cuter! This is going up on the wall for sure!
Eva: She has "proper" binoculars, but ones she made herself from toilet rolls are much better!
Chloe: Easter treat before breakfast!

Not linking up this week...I was too late!
